Future Ready Library
At Richardson Park Elementary School Library Media Center, we understand that each of our students has individual wants and needs. We believe that learning can only be fostered from a feeling of mutual respect and compassion, and we maintain those values in everything we do. The library is a hub to discover educational instruction combined with a collaboration approach to learning. The librarian media specialist takes on the role as a facilitator and information coach. The Library Media center is the information literacy hub that is alligned with educational standards. This is a place to build on previous knowledge, expand discovery, and gain a love for reading.

Future Ready Library
Each day, students are warmly welcomed into the library media center. They will experience a mini-lesson, exploration to support the lesson, and book circulation. The books are expected to be cared for and returned to the library the following week. In addition, to the curriculum the students are offered STEAM activities (science, technology, engineering, math). The role of the librarian media specialist is to be the facilitator/coach as the children develop their personal education path.

My name is Lori Dworsky. As a librarian media specialist, I promote discovery, reading, creativity, and research. I encourage collaboration and creativity as the students gain knowledge. In the libraray media center you will find a robust curriculum and a warm environment. My teaching skills and library/media skills were learned at the University of Delaware.
